The US is and always has been an Empire bent on attaining totalitarian world control.. Government is just a synonym for Cartel. Violence, secrecy, corruption, and war define them all. Governments use the same methods to control those inside their claimed territory; Propaganda, Coercion, threats of violence, and violence of every description. Those methods vary based on the ideology. Marxist, socialist, fascist, and combinations thereof. Venezuela,Syria, Iraq, Iran, and nearly every country in South America,Central America, and the Caribbean have been under nearly constant attack by the US Empire for over 100 years. Cuba and Venezuela,Russia, and Iran just happen to be the ones presently demonized by the US cartel. In fact everything that is said to be a problem in these countries can be traced to the US economic and military aggression against them . The US cartel should correctly be identified as a terrorist country by the world.
As a Christian Marxist I often value Eric's analysis, but at other times, I am offended. This entire article leaves me cold. There is hardly anything in here I agree with. For starters Marx didn't hate Jews, he hated usury, just as I don't hate Jews but hate Zionism. And Eric's suggestion that Marx was not on the left is insane. His right-wing assertion that Marxism always fail is idiotic propaganda. It certainly hasn't failed in China. It is doing just fine in Vietnam. It would be thriving in Cuba and Venezuela if the United States would just leave them the f--k alone.
As to Delcy Rodriguez I strongly suspect Eric is wrong there, too. Undoubtedly, Trump succeeded in kidnapping Maduro by bribing other insiders. Though I am open to the possibility, I am not as of now convinced or even leaning towards the notion that Rodriguez was in on it.
What I quoted was anti-Semitic in itself, but there's far more along those lines elsewhere n his writings. You obviously are suckered by his stupidity. You want to believe in him; so, you do. It's like any other religion, except not asserting anythng supernatural. But it still is FAITH. And faith IS religion.
You are calling Karl Marx stupid??? Now THAT is stupid. Marxism is a scientific tool for analyzing capitalism.
Marxism is not a religion. It is not blind faith. It is not even utopian. And Marx like all the rest of us was sometimes wrong. He predicted socialism would blossom in countries like the UK,Germany, and France. He predicted it would not blossom in underdeveloped countries in the global south. Just the opposite has happened.
We all have faith in something. My favorite atheist is Albert Camus. He had faith that life is worth living. I admire and learn from his novels just as I admire the Christian Gospels or the Bhavagad Gita, or Dostoevsky's novels. I suspect that you yourself consider human life to be sacred. That is faith.
Marx (like you) was a scientific historian. He saw history as a movement from from what Engels called primative communism to slavery to feudalism to capitalism (initially a good thing) to, in the future, socialism.
You appear to have not clicked onto the link in the first sentence, at where I alleged "economic incompetents (since Marx’s philosophy requires that)." This is where you can find some of the evidences that Marx was stupid (and also that he was racistly anti-Semitic).
I did indeed click on that link. Do you ever reference anyone but yourself? Sometimes I think you are as narcissistic as Donald Trump. Clearly your massive ego thinks you are much smarter than Marx. Sorry to burst your bubble but you aren't. I read every word of that article, BTW, and thought it was ridiculous. I'm surprised The Duran decided to publish it.
I wasn' "referencng" myself but linked to my article that REFERENCED (by linking to) the ultimate sources (none of which are from me). You STILL ignore those -- MY SOURCES (all of which are ultimately Karl Marx himself).
I was talking about hyperlinks in your articles. All your hyperlinks go to a single source - yourself. As you do with the Bible, you (like right-wing Evangelicals) cherrypick and take out of context passages that you think support your prejudged opinions.
It is absurd to say Marx was not on the Left. The bottom line for being a leftist is support for the well-being of the working class. Marx did nothing else. His massive scholarship - imperfect like that of all other great writers - will endure. What you and I write will fall into the ashheap of history.
The history of US Imperialism is responsible for most of the suffering across the planet. The Mideast and everything in the western hemisphere can rightly be placed on the head of the fascist, crony capitalist corporatism that is the US empire. I'm no Marxist but it is readily visible to all that look that US is the Aggressor.
The last of the 7articles summarized this poll of Venezuelans: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14Wyp-HnbzVye9GMsmDur2b63pMJ8oiRr/view?pli=1 and it scientifically randomly sampled 1,113 Venezuelan voters in the 21,485,000 Venezuelan population and is thus at a 95% likelihood of being within plus-or-minus 2.94% of the reality., and it found that 71.25% want Machado and 3.95% want Rodriguez to be the next President.
Both Machado and Rodrigo have that intention, but Venezuelans have now had nearly 6 months under Rodriguez, and her job-approval numbers have sunk a lot during this time, whereas they've not been ever headed by Machado and thus don't yet know that she is even worse. It's like the Democratic and the Republican Parties are in America: the public mistakenly assume that "the opposite Party" will save them, even though BOTH Parties are actually controlled just by different factions of the billionaires. And THIS is being called "democracy." The billionaires hire experts to do this, and the public are always dissatisfied with "their" Government but don't know that it ISN'T actually THEIR Government, it is instead their ENEMIES' Government that rules over them.

I strongly agree with most of this and your other posts, but a Marxist-socialist-fascist combination makes no sense to me. That's kinda like talking about a square round thing or a dry wet thing. Also, you fail to mention that terrorism and colonialism from the United States is done in the name of capitalism.

How many Venezuelans were interviewed for this article? https://beeley.substack.com/p/latin-america-is-the-new-palestine. Also https://x.com/camilapress/status/2058316994781589775

Machado wants to give Venezuela and its oil to Donald Trump. I find it hard to believe that nearly 3/4 of the population wants that.
Both Machado and Rodrigo have that intention, but Venezuelans have now had nearly 6 months under Rodriguez, and her job-approval numbers have sunk a lot during this time, whereas they've not been ever headed by Machado and thus don't yet know that she is even worse. "a Marxist-socialist-fascist combination" was NOT alleged by me.
Sorry if I clicked the wrong reply link. I though I was replying to Just Saying. You never made that combination.
