Russia Destroys German-Ukrainian Taurus Missiles in Ukraine

Ukrainian-assembled missiles that use some of Germany’s Taurus Missile technology were considered to be perhaps the biggest of all near-term dangers of Ukraine bombing The Kremlin, but on the eve of the Putin-Trump summit in Alaska on August 15th, Russia announced, August 14th, that multiple Ukrainian sites with those missiles (including one site that is located in Sumy Ukraine within 350 miles or a mere 6-minute striking-distance from blitz-bombing The Kremlin) had been struck and destroyed by Russian missiles, thus nullifying the danger, at least from those missiles.
These Taurus-technology-adapted Soviet Sapsan missiles that had long been in Ukraine’s arsenal were being modified in Ukraine with assistance from Germany’s Rheinmetall, which is Germany’s largest ‘defense’ firm, and whose controlling stockholder in 2024, at the time when U.S. President Biden started the process of allowing long-range missiles (such as these modifications of the former Soviet Sapsan missiles) to be supplied to Ukraine, was America’s BlackRock. Rheinmetall was more than 50% owned by America’s BlackRock, but now Rheinmetall is controlled by BlackRock but with also large holdings by America’s Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and also by France’s Société Générale. This means that increasing numbers of billionaires have been investing in that firm, after Biden and then Trump allowed such long-range and stealthy missiles to be supplied to Ukraine. Rheinmetall is still overwhelmingly controlled by U.S. billionaires, and the ones who had invested through BlackRock have experienced more than a doubling of their Rhinemetal asset-valuation during the past year. Today, that stock costs 1,600 Euros. A year ago, it cost 550 Euros. This is a 191% gain during the 12-month period.
On August 14th, Russia’s Tass News Agency headlined “Russia deals 'colossal' blow to Ukraine with Sapsan missile site strike — FSB” and reported:
MOSCOW, August 14. /TASS/. The damage incurred by Ukraine as a result of strikes on Sapsan long-range missile production sites is far greater than losses sustained by Russia in Operation Spiderweb when drone strikes were delivered on the deployment sites of Russian strategic bombers, according to documents from the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB).
"The damage to the Ukrainian military-industrial complex is colossal, far outweighing the harm done to Russia in Operation Spiderweb carried out by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry Main Intelligence Directorate," the documents read.
Earlier, the FSB Public Relations Center reported that a joint operation was carried out together with Russia’s Defense Ministry. Strikes were delivered on the facilities of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex involved in producing operational-tactical missile systems. Coordinated actions by Russian security agencies potentially prevented strikes on targets deep inside Russian territory and eliminated the technical production base of Ukrainian long-range ballistic missiles.
