Scott Ritter: Desperate U.S. Regime Gives Arms to Nazis Against Russia Now
Scott Ritter is the retired U.S. Marine who became a top U.N. Weapons Inspector in Iraq and who in the lead-up to America’s 2003 invasion of Iraq said that the Bush Administration had provided no credible evidence to back up any of its charges that Iraq had WMD after 1998. When then-Senator Joe Biden in 1998 tried to press Ritter to support the PNAC and other neoconservatives’ recommendation for the U.S. to invade iraq, and Biden said then that Ritter was “trying to appropriate the power to decide when to pull the trigger’ of military force against Iraq”, Ritter stood his ground against that pressure. Ritter has many times gone public condemning the U.S. Government’s lies for invading countries it treats as permanent enemies and as mere excuses to expand the American empire even further by additional conquests.
Ritter was interviewed on June 11th about now-President Biden’s bringing the U.S. up to the very brink of nuclear war in order to defeat Russia in the battlefields of Ukraine, and the issue came up of how desperate the U.S. Government — both of its Parties — is to win this war, which Ritter now says that America and NATO are certain to lose or else to escalate it into a nuclear war that will destroy the entire planet. Here the topic arose of the U.S. Government’s now even making common cause with outright Hitler-admiring ‘Neo’-Nazis, arming them in Ukraine so as to stave-off this U.S.-NATO defeat (at least until America’s November 5th elections):
Here is the video, and the transcript of this particular passage in it:
11:22
INTERVIEWER: What is the significance
11:25
of the latest announcement to come out
11:27
of the White House, which is the
11:29
permission for the the
11:33
Neo-Nazis — some unique Battalion or
11:36
group in the Ukrainian military — that
11:39
have swastikas tattooed on their bodies,
11:42
that they can now use American offensive
11:45
weaponry — why would Biden do that, knowing,
11:49
as he should, the Russian memory for
11:52
history and culture and attitude about
11:57
Nazis? RITTER: Let's just remember that this
11:59
current situation in Ukraine grows out
12:03
of the February 2014 Maidan coup
12:08
that was carried out by Ukrainian
12:11
nationalists, violent extremists
12:15
who are loyal to the memory of Stepan
12:18
Bandera, a Ukrainian nationalist ultra
12:21
nationalist. INTERVIEWER: Let me let me just stop you.
12:23
The American CIA worked with the worst
12:27
elements in Ukraine, these people you’re now
12:29
talking
12:30
about, Victoria Nuland and her folks
12:33
in the State Department as well, to pull
12:36
off this coup. RITTER: Correct. They pulled off
12:38
the coup, and now these people are the
12:40
ones who went into Mariupol and
12:42
terrorized the Russian population there.
12:44
They turned themselves into a
12:46
military unit they called it the Azov,
12:48
being the Sea of Azov, right off the coast
12:51
of the city of Mariupol. They are
12:55
100% you know, Neo-Nazi, they, as you said
12:57
they strut, Hitler, the whole thing,
13:00
they glorify Ukraine, Ukrainian
13:03
nationalist linkage with Hitler,
13:07
and it got so bad that in 2015 when
13:11
the United States started training the
13:13
Ukrainian forces, the United States
13:16
Congress passed an amendment to the
13:18
Defense Authorization Act that said
13:21
we can give money to Ukraine, but we
13:23
can't allow any of that money to be used
13:25
to train the Azov Battalion, because, as the
13:27
United States Congress said, they are
13:29
Neo-Nazi white supremacists, and we can't
13:32
support this, and the Congress passed
13:35
this amendment all the way up until
13:37
2022, when we started supplying
13:40
Ukraine with these weapons.
13:42
The people in Congress who signed
13:45
this Amendment calling the Azov
13:49
Regiment Nazis, when Republicans stood up
13:51
in Congress, said “Why are we funding
13:53
Nazis?” people like Jamie Raskin —
13:56
stood up and said “How dare you say there's Nazis
13:58
there are no Nazis” — he's the one who
14:00
signed the legislation that said we
14:03
can't give money to these Nazis; they're
14:05
the same ones that allowed Azov members
14:08
to come to the United States Congress and be
14:10
14:13
heroes, to hold auctions in the people's
14:16
House, selling memorabilia with the Nazi
14:20
symbology, so we sold Nazi memorabilia in
14:23
the people's House, to raise money for
14:25
Nazis which are what the Azov regiment is.
14:29
For the Ukrainians right now, the Azov
14:32
Battalion, which renamed itself because
14:34
it became too much of a political problem,
14:36
they're now the Third Assault Regiment;
14:39
they are one of the few remaining
14:42
effective units left in the Ukrainians,
14:44
and they are used extensively to launch
14:46
counterattacks and plug holes in the
14:48
battlefield. They need weapons and as
14:52
long as the United States prohibits
14:54
American weapons from being sent to Azov,
14:57
this unit would not be effective, so what
14:59
the Biden Administration has done has
15:01
said “no, we we're going to give weapons
15:03
to these people,” and it's not just them
15:05
it's now the Kraken Regiment which is a
15:08
Nazi regiment; it's the 67th Armored
15:11
Regiment which is a Nazi regiment;
15:13
there's other units of that nature, where
15:15
basically the the surviving mobile
15:17
reserve capacity of the Ukrainian Armed
15:20
Forces is 100% Nazi, and we need to
15:24
ensure that Ukraine has weapons that
15:27
can allow these units to fight. So, yes,
15:30
ladies and gentlemen, you heard me right.
15:32
A week after we celebrated the 80th
15:35
Anniversary of the D-Day invasion where
15:37
our American soldiers went over the
15:39
beach to fight and destroy the Nazi
15:42
scourge that had occupied France and
15:44
pushed them back into Germany, fighting
15:46
alongside our Soviet allies to
15:48
accomplish the same Mission, yes, this
15:51
America today is now deliberately
15:54
providing weapons to units we know are
15:57
Nazi affiliated.

I recommend the entire 26:30-long interview, because Ritter, as always, and consistently, is a master of his subject, and a hawk-eye for lies by his government —including even about America’s coup that grabbed control of Ukraine in 2014. Furthermore, it’s an interview that is well worth seeing twice.

Investigative historian Eric Zuesse’s latest book, AMERICA’S EMPIRE OF EVIL: Hitler’s Posthumous Victory, and Why the Social Sciences Need to Change, is about how America took over the world after World War II in order to enslave it to U.S.-and-allied billionaires. Their cartels extract the world’s wealth by control of not only their ‘news’ media but the social ‘sciences’ — duping the public.
