It's hard to relate to this as in my area no one is dying from war. We can go though the year without knowing about the countless wars in other parts of the world. How many have died? Who knows. That they have died senselessly is more important. Governments still love death, destruction and murder. That is the main reason they are useless.

"If Russia is determined to win this war, then Russia’s current strategy of winning it by attritting the opposite side might need to become replaced soon by abandoning that strategy and going instead for a considerably more aggressive strategy — to take control over all of Ukraine, no matter what, and do it soon."

Putin should have fought the war to win quickly and decisively. Interdicting all war materiel, destroying power grids, transportation, and utilities. His big mistake was limiting the war.
