"Thank you for referring me to Eric Zuesse's article, Vanessa. I'll include it in something I'm working on. I would say that ideology is my primary focus also. If we were thinking clearly about ethics and morals, we couldn't be manipulated. Our ideas are the only thing we can ever truly control, that can't be taken from us. It's always the place to start, controlling your own mind. This post talks about that: https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/ideology-is-everything.
"Eric is certainly right about Trump's ego looking for win-lose deals. But that doesn't explain all of it. Trump is willing to sacrifice American billionaires, as he'll certainly be doing with the trade sanctions. His ego is being fed and groomed by others smarter and more sinister than him.
"Trump is a crypto-Jew, whose allegience is to the demon-god who demands blood sacrifice and burnt offerings. That's why the Crypto Ball and crypto-currencies are occult signaling, which can't get more overt: https://thirdparadigm.substack.com/p/maga-the-crocodile-demon.
"I appreciate your consistency in figuring out the deeper layers to the geopolitical. I hope that Putin's strategic sacrifice of Syria, if that's what it was, is part of a trajectory that will end the supremacy of the Usurpers for good, and I mean that literally."
And thank you, Eric, for asking the all-important question and giving it such deep thought.
"Trump’s America is not interested in moral authority, global stability, or solving the world’s problems. It is focused on extracting the maximum benefit from every interaction, whether in economics, security, or politics. If others refuse Trump’s ‘deal’, coercion quickly becomes his preferred strategy."
Exactly, and that is why Putin was very unwise not to fight the war for a quick, decisive win.
includes an excellent historical account of the diplomatic history of the Ukraine war, which details that Putin had initially planned to achieve ONLY the settlement that became made iin Istanbul but that Boris Johnson as Joe Biden's agent forced Zelensky to reject it. So, everything from then on has been the "war of attrition" that everyone now recognizes. That had NOT been Putin's initial plan. Nor would it have happened if Biden had not insisted that the war continue.

Thanks for the link.
My point is that since Putin found that his original plan was thwarted, he should have changed his tactics.
