I think I received that thing from Trump which flew into the trash can before it was opened. Not that I dislike him, but no politician is ever going to fix anything. The proof is over the last 60 years, at least.
If we go back to all the political promises to fix this problem or that problem that politicians running for office have stated, why do we have more problems than ever and they continue to grow sprouting even more problems? As Ronnie stated quite succinctly...government IS the problem.
Besides, it's a waste of good money sending it to campaign funds which waste most of it on TV ads.
Government is essential, not only to the functioning of the economy, but to the functioning of all essential services, and privatization of essential services (which is what fascist regimes do) produces costlier services that provide less service and that are more corrupt. The solution isn't no government (called ":anarchy") but better and less corrupt government.
You have given a quite accurate description of the political environment in this country
and reminds me of "The Charge of the Light Brigade", but instead of cannons to the left
and cannons to the right of the charge we have FOOLS on the left and FOOLS on the
right!
And what Henry Ford said many years ago still applies almost one hundred years later:

And Martin has also warned us today, perhaps in vain!......................................................
